This website was developed by the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office and the Loudoun County Department of Information Technology to aid residents with their daily commutes. Residents can use the site to check their route to and from work to determine if there are any traffic-related issues. The website lists traffic incidents reported to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office, the Virginia State Police, the Middleburg Police Department and the Purcellville Police Department. Traffic incidents worked by the Town of Leesburg Police Department are not listed on the site. The listed incidents include major accidents, road closures, property damage accidents, minor accidents, hit and run accidents, traffic signal malfunctions and disabled vehicles.
Crash involving one or more vehicles and possible serious injuries.
Property Damage Accident:
Crash involving one or more vehicles with minor or no injuries.
A malfunctioning vehicle or a vehicle disabled due to weather conditions. The vehicle is possibly impeding traffic flow.
Hit & Run Accident:
A single or multiple vehicle crash where a vehicle has left the scene.
Traffic Signal Malfunction:
Traffic signals are either malfunctioning or off due to power failure. An intersection where the traffic signals are off due to power failure must be treated as a four-way stop.
Roadway is closed due to police activity or severe weather conditions.
A roadway or intersection that may contain a hazardous object(s) potentially limiting vehicular travel.
A report from the public indicating a potential traffic issue or hazard requiring law enforcement action.
